Camping on Sandoy
On Sandoy there are four campgrounds that offer different services - in Dalur, Sandur, Skálavík and Skopun. Some campgrounds are only for campervans and other combined. Please check the facilities before planning your stay.
Fuel for camping stoves and other gear is available at the store “Hjá Rólant” in Sandur.
Camping regulations
Please note that camping is only permitted at designated campsites. There are no public wilderness areas or common spaces in the Faroes where camping is allowed. It is not allowed spending the night in camping cars or tents along roads, at rest stops, laybys, or viewpoints. Camping outside of designated campsites is illegal and punishable by a fine.
